We are currently seeking an Business Development Manager, AVIATION to join our US Sales team

In this role you will be accountable for growing and maintaining existing accounts, securing new customers, and providing superior customer service within the Aviation industry.

This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to promote sales, generate new business opportunities and ensure customer service requirements are exceeded within the US aviation market
  • Provide market research and identify new Aviation opportunities for FELLFAB®
  • Prepare and update annual budget and rolling forecasts
  • Develop an Account Planner; sales and marketing plan to penetrate existing accounts and secure new customers
  • Uncover new product development opportunities by understanding customer needs and trends.
  • Meet sales objectives within a defined budget
  • Ability to develop a sales plan and implement sales strategies
  • Ability to work within a budget while meeting sales objectives
  • Ability to lead contract reviews and participate in the contract bidding process
  • Ability to identify opportunities for product development
  • Market research and the ability to work with Management to provide feedback and recommend corrective actions as required
  • Complete sales reports, quarterly marketing reports, and other reports as required
  • Ability to analyze and create financial data
  • Ability to interact with various internal departments within the United States and Canada
  • Ability to work independently as well all as a collective Sales Team
  • Attend conferences, conventions and trade shows as required
  • Ability to ensure repeat and new business opportunities are met

Your knowledge, skills and experience include:

  • University degree or College diploma in a Business-related field and equivalent work experience in a sales environment
  • 5 years of account management experience, preferably in the aviation market
  • A technical aptitude with an ability to understand and interpret test data, certifications, and drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills

Asset:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing textile environment
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 and AS9100 environment

Other:

  • Must have a valid passport and be able to travel cross border
  • Must have a valid license, automotive insurance, and have the use of a personal vehicle for business travel
  • Must complete a driving history record (MVR), arranged through an external 3rd party
  • The Account Executive, US Aviation will work out of the Fort Worth Texas sales office; therefore, the candidate must reside in Texas.
