Position Title: Quality Inspector
We are currently seeking a QUALITY INSPECTOR to join our Hamilton, Ontario facility. Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, you will be responsible for providing quality inspections on Receiving, Production First Off, First Article, work in-process and on finished products. You will also ensure that internal procedures are met through the documentation of First Piece Inspections.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform daily tasks within ISO 9001 and AS 9100 policies and procedures including but not limited to:
- Complete internal inspections on Receiving, Production First Off, work in-process, and finished goods as per the Quality Plan, Purchase Order, drawings, and/or customer requirements
- Complete First Piece / Article Inspections and prepare FAIR as per the AS 9100 standard
- Ensure First Article documentation is completed and uploaded to portals as required by customer
- Complete inspections as per the quality plan, customer and/or regulatory requirements
- Complete daily production inspection reports
- Complete internal inspections on work in-process and finished goods as per the Quality Plan. Inspections can include testing, and/or measuring materials or products with rulers, calipers, or gauges.
- Review & understand product specifications and work instructions.
- Participate in Quality meetings as required (NCR, CAR, MRB, and RA)
- Create Quality Alerts and guide/support production training as it relates to quality concerns
- Ensure a timely and documented customer return process is implemented and maintained customer satisfaction at least cost
- Verify the accuracy of documentation on work orders
- Ensure correctness of receiving quality documentation such as certifications, test records, and inspections
- Ensure correctness of necessary certifications and documentation requirements for goods and services to customers.
- Participating in Quality audits as required
- Support quality assurance strategies and processes while focusing on Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Ensure internal requirements are met at all times
- Reject, tag and manage the initial disposition of defective material (physically and in ERP)
- Maintain a clean and sustainable work environment utilizing 5S.
Indicate the minimum level of formal Education Required:
- University or College diploma in Quality control, assurance, or inspection
List the Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Abilities Required:
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings
- Must be able to work within a team environment and on individual projects
- Must be able to communicate with employees at all levels within the organization
- Must be able to manage time accordingly and prioritize projects based on need
Position Status and Compensation Disclosure (Ontario)

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 – $55,000 annually, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
